OUR plans

The MAKE HISTORY campaign is an opportunity to reimagine, restore and celebrate the importance of this site to past generations and generations
to come.

III. Hunt House Restoration

The Hunt House is Calgary's most significant cultural and historic resource. Built in 1876 as part of the Hudson's Bay Company post, it is Calgary's oldest building in its original location and has been designated as a Provincial Historic Resource.

Restoration of the Hunt House is now underway and expected to be complete in the spring of 2015. The MAKE HISTORY Campaign will fully restore the Hunt House and save it before it deteriorates beyond salvation. Restoration includes extensive archaeology and preservation of the original log structure.
