Building Calgary

Work as a community to build a child-size log cabin as you discover the building methods and tools used in the development of our city. Discover the roles of early citizens of Calgary through primary sources, archival photographs, models, costumes and more!

Museum Scavenger Hunt and Film
Location: Interpretive Centre and Theatre, Fort Calgary
Length: 1 hr and 30 minutes

Watch our award-winning film in the replica Palace theatre and learn about the history of Calgary. Then self-guide with your adult supervisor to complete a curriculum-based scavenger hunt within the interpretive centre. Your reading, writing, drawing and observation skills will be put to the test!
